Part 1. Can I listen to Amazon Music Offline?

Amazon Music offers different subscription tiers with varying degrees of access to its download feature. Here’s a breakdown of the download capabilities based on your Amazon Music plan:

  1. Amazon Music Free:
    • No access to downloads.
  2. Amazon Music Prime:
    • Limited access to downloads.
    • You can only download content from All-Access Playlists for offline listening.
  3. Amazon Music Unlimited:
    • Extensive access to downloads.
    • Subscribers have the flexibility to download a wide range of songs, albums, and playlists for offline enjoyment.

If you’re an Amazon Music Prime or Unlimited member, you can download titles using both mobile and desktop apps for offline playback. However, the Amazon Music web player doesn’t support the downloading feature.

Part 2. How to download with Amazon Music Prime?

Amazon Music Prime members can only download All-Access Playlists to listen offline. In this part, we will walk you through the steps of downloading Amazon Music with your Prime subscription.

On your Amazon Music mobile app

  1. Open the Amazon Music app on your iPhone, iPad or Android.
  2. Scroll down to the All-Access Playlists and select the one you want to download for offline playback.
  3. Tap the Download button to initiate the playlist download.
  4. To monitor the download progress, go to the Library and check the Download queue.
  5. To access your downloaded songs, navigate to Library and select Recently Downloaded.

On your Amazon Music desktop app

  1. Launch the Amazon Music app on your Mac or PC.
  2. Find the All-Access Playlists and choose the desired one for offline playback. If you cannot find it on the homepage, click the Search bar, then scroll down and click the All-Access Playlists button under Listen Your Way.
  3. Click the Download icon to initiate the playlist download.

Part 3. How to download with Amazon Music Unlimited Subscription?

Amazon Music Unlimited members can download songs, albums, and playlists in Standard quality, HD, Ultra HD, or Spatial Audio to listen offline in these formats.

With the Amazon Music app on your mobile device

  1. Go to the Amazon Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android.
  2. Select the song, album, or playlist you want to download.
  3. Tap the More Options (three dots) menu, and tap Download.

With the Amazon Music app on your desktop

  1. Open the Amazon Music app on your desktop.
  2. Find the song, album, or playlist you wish to download.
  3. Click the More Options (three dots), and choose Download.

Part 4. How to enable Amazon Music Offline Mode?

Enable the Offline Mode on your iOS and Android

After you have successfully downloaded content to your Amazon Music mobile app, you can enable the offline mode for uninterrupted listening without an internet connection.

  1. Launch the Amazon Music app on your iOS or Android device.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (the gear icon) in the top right corner.
  3. Choose Offline Mode from the menu.
  4. With Offline Mode enabled, navigate to your Library to enjoy downloaded songs under Recently Downloaded.

The Offline Mode feature is not available on the Amazon Music app for PC and Mac. However, you can easily access your downloaded music in the library and enjoy it when you’re offline.

  1. Launch the Amazon Musci app on your PC or Mac and go to your Library.
  2. Look for your downloaded songs, playlists, or albums marked with the Downloaded icon (rounded arrow icon).
