Roblox is a well-known online platform to play games as well as create your own games. Since its release in 2006, Roblox has gained immense popularity, especially among younger audiences. The platform is free to use with powerful social interaction features. Players can join friends or make new friends on the platform, chat with other users, and participate in multiplayer games.

However, many users have noticed that when playing Roblox games on their phone, the music player, such as Spotify and Apple Music, automatically pauses. If you are a Roblox fan facing the same problem, this article will help you by presenting three methods on how you can listen to Spotify while playing Roblox on iPhone, iPad, and Android.

Method 1. Use Earbuds with Built-in Controls

To stop Spotify from automatically pausing while playing Roblox, one effective way is using earbuds with built-in controls. This includes both wire and wireless earbuds such as  Galaxy Pro Buds, AirPods, or wired Apple earbuds.

The method works on both iOS and Android devices. Here is how you can control your Spotify with the earbuds when playing Roblox.

  1. Plug or connect your earbuds to your iOS or Android device.
  2. Open Spotify on your device, and select a song or a playlist to play.
  3. Go to Roblox and choose a game. Tap the Play button to enter the game. As the game is loaded, you will notice that Spotify automatically pauses.
  4. At this point, press the Play/Pause button on your earbuds to resume playing on Spotify.

Method 2. Use Shortcuts on iPhone

IOS users can use the Shortcuts app on their iPhone or iPad to make Spotify continue playing while playing Roblox.

With the Shortcuts app, you can create shortcuts activated by taps on your devices or voice commands. It works with various apps on your iPhone and iPad, allowing you to control these apps with the shortcut commands you created.

Follow the steps below to create a Play/Pause shortcut on your iPhone or iPad to control Spotify while playing Roblox:

Step 1. Launch the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and tap the Plus icon at the top right corner to add a new shortcut.

Step 2. Search for “play/pause” from the search bar at the bottom. When the results show, select Play/Pause under Media and tap Done at the top right.

Step 3. The Play/Pause shortcut is created.

Step 5. Scroll down and tap “Back Tap“, then choose Double Tap and select Play/Pause under SHORTCUTS.

Step 6. Start playing music on Spotify, then go to Roblox and select a game to play.

Step 7. When the Roblox game is running, Spotify automatically pauses. At this point, Double Tap the Back of Your iPhone, and Spotify will resume playing. To stop Spotify, double tap the back of your phone again.

While double-tapping on the back of your phone, you’ll see a message at the top of the screen, indicating that the Play/Pause shortcut has been activated.

Method 3. Join Spotify Island on Roblox

The official way of listening to Spotify on Roblox is to join Spotify Island.

By launching Spotify Island in May 2022, Spotify became the first music-streaming brand to publish its own game on Roblox. The game is easy to play – just explore the island alone or with your friends. You can search for rare collectibles or earn hearts by completing quests. Use the hearts to unlock certain areas or buy various items for your avatar.

Spotify Island allows players to interact with music artists. When playing the game, you can also choose the Spotify music to listen to.

Step 1. Launch Roblox and search for Spotify Island. Tap the result and press the Play button to enter the game.
