It is easy to sign up for a Tidal account, especially for free plans. You don’t even need to fill in any payment information. However, you may have conveniently registered Tidal with multiple emails, since some older accounts are forgotten. When you realize this situation, you may want to delete the long-time unused Tidal accounts. You may also want to delete your Tidal account due to data privacy concerns when ending your subscription.

If you are using an iPhone or iPad, you can conveniently delete your Tidal account directly from the Tidal app. But if you are using an Android, Mac, or Windows computer, the Tidal apps on these devices don’t have such an option. In such cases, you will need to cancel your Tidal account by submitting a request on the website or contacting customer support. Here is how you can delete your Tidal account using these three methods, as well as how to access your Tidal playlists and favorite tracks even after account deletion.

What to Know Before Deleting Your Tidal Account?

Before deleting your Tidal account, please note that you will lose all the information related to the account, which cannot be recovered. Once your account is deleted:

  • You will immediately lose access to Tidal with that account.
  • Your Tidal Playlists, favorites, history, and account details will be deleted forever and cannot be recovered.
  • Your downloads from Tidal will also be removed.

If you are a paid user of Tidal, you can choose to cancel your Tidal subscription instead of canceling your account to retain your Tidal account information. Compared with deleting a Tidal Account, canceling your subscription will result in:

  • You can maintain access to your account until your next bill date. After that, you will automatically become a free user of Tidal.
  • Your playlists and favorites will be saved if you decide to resume your TIDAL subscription in the future.
  • You’ll no longer have access to your downloaded music if you cancel your Tidal subscription.

Method 1. Delete a Tidal Account through iOS devices

If you have installed the Tidal app on your iOS devices from the Apple App Store, there is a “Delete account” option within the mobile app you can use to directly delete your Tidal account. This method is only applicable to Apple devices such as iPhones or iPads and is not supported by the Tidal app on Android. Android users need to use other methods to delete their Tidal account, including borrowing an iPhone from friends or family and logging in to delete the account from there.

Step 1. Launch your Tidal app on your iPhone or iPad, and tap Settings(the gear icon) at the top right corner.

Step 2. Select Manage Account under Settings.

Step 3. Tap Delete account.

Method 3. Delete Your Tidal Account by Email

The other way to delete your Tidal account is to contact Tidal customer support at  [email protected] or [email protected].

When you write the email, you can use “Delete My Tidal account” as the subject and don’t forget to include your Tidal account’s username and email address in the letter. You may also state the reason why you wish to delete your Tidal account.

After you have sent the email, Tidal will get back to you in 24 hours to process your request.
